Scar tissue consists of an equivalent super molecule because the tissue that it replaces, however, the fiber composition of the super molecule is different; rather than a random fabric formation of the scleroprotein fibers found in traditional tissue, in pathology the scleroprotein cross-link and forms a pronounced alignment in a very single direction. This scleroprotein connective tissue alignment is sometimes of inferior practical quality to the conventional scleroprotein irregular alignment. For example, scars within the skin are less immune to ultraviolet, and sweat glands and hair follicles do not grow back within scar tissues. An infarct, usually referred to as heart failure, causes scar formation in the heart muscle which leads to loss of muscular power and possibly heart failure.
Types of scars
There are 3 types of scars giving followed
Keloid scars- These scars are the results of a very aggressive healing method. They extend beyond the original injury. Over time, a keloid scar may hamper movement. Treatments embody surgery to get rid of the scar, steroid injections, or silicone sheets to flatten the scar. Smaller keloids can be treated using Cryotherapy. Keloid scars are commonest among individuals with dark skin.
Contracture scars- If their skin has been burned, they’ll have a contraction scar. These scars tighten skin which might impair their ability to maneuver. Contracture scars can also go deeper, touching muscles and nerves.
Hypertrophic scars- These are raised, red scars that are similar to keloids but do not go beyond the boundary of the injury.
Over-the-counter, or prescription creams, No Scar Skin Soapor gel. This product is accustomed to treat scars that are caused by cuts or alternative injuries or wounds. If they are under the care of a plastic surgeon and their scarring is from cosmetic or plastic surgery, ask their surgeon if over-the-counter treatment is an option. If not, there are prescriptions that may help. Often, treatments can include steroids or certain oral antihistamines for scars that cause itching and are very sensitive. Likewise, if they have scarring from severe acne, ask their dermatologist for advice. Their doctor can also recommend or use pressure treatment or silicone gel sheeting to help treat scars or as preventive care.

Transforming growth factor, neutralizing antibodies to the transforming growth factors β1 and β2, and mannose Six phosphates are all in early stage human clinical trials for preventing skin scarring. Thus, future drug treatments hold the promise of substantially improving the cosmetic outcome of injury, trauma, or elective surgery, with scarring no longer being an inevitable consequence of skin healing.
